CEB is a corporate body established in 1969, empowered to generate, transmit and distribute electrical energy to reach all categories of consumers in Sri Lanka. Adhering to core values such as sustainability, efficiency and effectiveness, professionalism, and quality, the Board aims to develop and maintain an efficient, coordinated and economical system of electricity supply to the whole country.

Since winning the election in 2015, the President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena, has followed up on his campaign promise, which is to reform the nation’s energy sector. Noting that “energy constitutes one of the foremost factors deciding the future of the country”, numerous reforms and initiatives have been implemented to rejuvenate Sri Lanka’s energy industry.

Today Sri Lanka has emerged as a forerunner in the renewable energy industry. With an electricity generation mix of solar, wind, geothermal, nuclear, and hydropower, the country aims to achieve 100% renewable energy share by 2030. With numerous developments taking place in the energy industry, Sri Lanka is ripe with untapped opportunities.

Aiming to capitalize on these opportunities, LANKAENERGY 2018 aims to be a vital B2B platform where industry professionals are able to source for supplies and learn directly from international experts. The event is expected to host over 250 international companies from 18 countries as well as over 6,000 trade visitors nationwide.

LANKAENERGY 2018 is purposed to meet your various needs, from conducting feasibility studies, consolidating business partnerships to maintaining relationships with key clients. We warmly invite you to be part of the country’s biggest event for the Electricity Production Industry.
